You don`t need to compete with low prices if you manage to turn your customers into your fans!

Here is how:

80 %

of your company’s future revenue will come from just 20% of your existing customers.

These are those customers with a high “Lifetime Value” or “Customer Value”: They spend much, frequently, and on a regular basis on your business.  They don`t just buy for example a coffee or a pullover – they buy a coffee or pullover FROM YOUR BUSINESS. They are your fans.

Your fans will buy from your business because they feel emotionally connected.

(And not because you are cheap.)

The Harvard Business Review confirms: “ The most effective way to maximize customer value is to move beyond mere customer satisfaction and connect with customers at an emotional level – tapping into their fundamental motivations and fulfilling their deep, often unspoken emotional needs.”

Emotionally connected clients spend

as much.

“Clients that feel emotionally connected with a brand spend on average twice as much annually with that brand as highly satisfied customers.” (Harvard Business Review)

How can my photography help you to connect with your customers at an emotional level?

So that they won`t run to the next best cheaper competitor but stick with you in the years to come…

Cinematic, storytelling pictures create a mood, and this triggers emotions.

Emotions make customers want to connect with you, they want to be part of your story and therefore buy from you.

Say, for example, you are a deli owner. A scenic image of you in your store placing some deliciously looking fruit on the shelf could give people a sense of feeling local and at home, enjoyment, deliciousness combined with self-care, health, quality, and luxury.

Seeing the picture makes them feel good because it triggers their dreams – and the best thing: They feel inspired to bring that dream into their reality by connecting with your brand and buying your product or services. Because people don`t buy products or services, but they buy dreams, hopes, solutions, convenience, ideas,… – they buy whatever your product or service is going to make them FEEL.

“People buy from people.”

(Garrison Wynn in “The Real Truth About Success”)

“Website users pay close attention to photos that show real people who actually work at the company. In contrast, users ignore stock photos of generic people.” (Nielsen Norman Group, scientific study)

Showing yourself and your team instead of hiding behind standard stock photos will make you way more trustworthy and relatable in the eyes of your clients.

That`s me, London and Metzingen based Business Photographer Nadine

Business Photographer Nadine Wilmanns in London and Metzingen

That`s me

Photography is much more than a job for me, and I photograph stories pretty much constantly in my everyday life. My boyfriend isn`t even surprised anymore when I photograph a seemingly unspectacular scene just because of the way the light looks.

Business Photographer Nadine Wilmanns in London and Metzingen

As a student, I started working as a journalist and photographer for the daily newspaper in my hometown in Germany. It trained me to adapt to situations quickly, grasp their essence in pictures, and in this way tell it to the viewer in a comprehensive, personal, and emotional way.

Before turning photography into my main job, I took a lot of detours, all of which have shaped me and my work as it is today: I`ve got an MA in Fashion Design and have worked for both high street suppliers as well as for designers like Giles Deacon in London and Wolfgang Joop in Potsdam. I later studied Journalism and went to the London College of Contemporary Arts for evening classes to learn Fashion Photography.

Eventually, I quit my day job and jumped into freelancing. Time and time again, God has placed incredible opportunities on my path – all my life as well as now. I can`t wait to see what`s next! Currently, I`m living both in Germany (Outletcity Metzingen/ Stuttgart) and in London, working as a photographer for magazines and businesses.

How I work

When photographing business stories, I work like a journalist: I look for emotion, a storyline, and a connection that the viewer (the business’ audience) will bond and identify with.

At the same time, I work like a photographer seeing shapes, light, and composition and making everyone feel seen and at ease in front of the camera.

My photographs are characterized by my way to see scenes and situations, how I craft light, and my intention to bring warmth, humanity, and connection into the story. This makes my work original, authentic and cinematic.

What you can expect

1. Preparing the storyline

Before I come to capture your business story, we will talk about what kind of imagery your business needs and also how many images approximately your photostory should have.

Some businesses prefer to focus on their team, some want to place the focus on their premises, others would like to outline their production process, the use of their products in everyday life, or they want images of events and meetings.

Solo-Entrepreneurs may need a diverse selection of images of themselves in action as business owners.

Businesses in the service industry often like to show their service performed on models or on some of their customers. Retail businesses may need a lot of detailed shots of their products.

Every business has individual requirements and so has yours.

2. recording the story

Depending on your needs and the size of your business, I will capture your business story in the course of half a day, one day, or more days. Some stories benefit from a follow-up ever so often – for example, every six months or so.

3. Getting the story out into the world

I will advise you along the way: on how to put your images to use in an impactful way – for example on your social media, or your website, but also in other creative ways.

If you want to, I will interview you about your business for my online magazine McWilmanns Business Story Magazine. This is entirely optional. You may use the interview text on your own website and can then link to the Business Story Magazine for a plus in terms of Google ranking.
